Sara Johnson
About Sara Johnson

Sara teaches both yin and vinyasa flow yoga at The Yoga Seed Collective. For her, yoga is the practice observing the mind through the body, utilizing the breath in the asana (posture) to observe our attitudes, to stay present and focused, and to practice compassionate care for ourselves, while we work to create a more peaceful internal environment and a more peaceful life off the yoga mat. She is a practitioner of awareness practice as taught by Caverly, and is excited to blend a yin yoga (and slow flow) with the practice. More on Sara here.

CaverlyAbout Caverly Morgan

Caverly has been devoted to Zen Awareness Practice for the last fifteen years, during eight of which she lived and trained at a silent Zen Monastery. She is the founder and director of One House of Peace, a nonprofit that began as a small meditation center located in Sacramento, CA. Recently One House of Peace expanded into Portland, OR, where Caverly now maintains her own spiritual practice while offering the gift of practice to others.
Caverly's work through One House of Peace has been featured on Access Sacramento (television,) Real Life with Jennifer Till (radio,) and the Sacramento News and Review (newspaper.) Along with offering a daily schedule of meditation and twice weekly classes at the original location for One House of Peace, she has facilitated meditation classes in yoga studios, has taught Awareness Practice workshops in college and high school classrooms, health clubs, and most recently in the corporate setting.
Caverly currently teaches workshops throughout the country, including regular monthly workshops at the Yoga Seed Collective in Sacramento, CA. Caverly also sees clients, who wish to bring a practice of consciousness into their lives and/or deepen their spiritual pathway, on an individual basis. Her unique combination of humor and clarity, along with her unwavering commitment to consciousness, provide the foundation for the work of transformation that she practices and offers to the world.

About the Practice

One House of Peace offers a Zen Awareness Practice of Consciousness. Anyone who wishes to deepen his or her spiritual pathway may participate. This practice of consciousness is open to all.
The Practice's focus is on bringing awareness to process - how we do what we do - including both mental and physical as well as energetic patterns. Caverly's experience as a monk at the Zen Monastery Peace Center informs the work's focus on being present, aware, and disciplined. Her training with the Center for Self-Teaching has expanded her practice and teaching to include emphasis on the energetic realm. The practice One House of Peaceoffers is a pathway to end suffering though cultivating our ability to be conscious of body, mind, and spirit, while honing our capacity to accept and let go.
This spiritual practice is one of personal transformation through awareness. The focus is on paying attention. As we pay attention to how and where limitation is created in our bodies, our minds, and in our energetic systems we learn to access the alternative: liberation. We learn to be free.
