A Message from Caverly

Dear friends of One House of Peace,

On a pathway of Enlightenment, I believe in the importance of consciousness and I believe in the importance of service. These beliefs shape my spiritual practice, and therefore my life. When these two beliefs come together within Awareness Practice, we are given the opportunity to be conscious of the openings to serve. We see how to be of service. When awake, we see how to participate with Life. When asleep, we create the same realities over and over again. We create a world that revolves around us. We create the illusion of consistency and control. When awake, we are surrounded by a world of possibility. When awake, we see infinite openings. We experience Life as an ongoing invitation and adventure into the unknown.

I have been called to be of service in a new form. As many know, I’ve been spending time on a monthly basis with a mentor of mine who has been ill. March 3rd I’ll be beginning a sabbatical from my current duties with One House of Peace and returning to Portland, Oregon. After March 3rd, One House of Peace will temporarily be closed until further notice. I will, however, still be conducting private consultations, but they will be done via phone/skype. The March 5th workshop at the Yoga Seed Collective has been postponed, as has the April retreat at Piccolo Pastures. Our daily Awareness Practice thoughts and assignments which happen via facebook will remain active.

Sunday, February 27th at 10am will be our last group discussion (until further notice) and our last practice period will be Tuesday evening the 1st of March. The next two Thursday group discussions (the 17th and 24th) will be held as usual. Both those evenings are scheduled to have orientations at 6:30pm for newcomers. If you have never been to One House of Peace and would like to join us for one of those orientations, please reserve your place by responding to registration@onehouseofpeace.org. Thank you.

Until we are in touch again, may your life and world be full of consciousness, possibility, and the opportunity to serve something larger than ourselves. I am deeply appreciative of your support and the way in which, through One House of Peace, I’ve had the opportunity to serve this community. I look forward to continuing to serve in another form and will be in touch as this evolves.

Gassho.

In Peace,

Caverly and One House of Peace
