This workshop will be for those new to sitting meditation, as well as for those who wish to delve more deeply into the practice. Each chakra, or energy center of the body, brings different information to the system and in this workshop you will learn about the role of each one. We will look specifically at how the chakra system serves as the interface between body and spirit as well as how it reveals what kind of programming you have. Caverly will introduce a practical way to work with the chakra system as part of your spiritual practice. Through meditation, as well as understanding and working with the chakras, we can open the system in a harmonious way, accessing personal transformation.

The workshop will be suitable for those who are new to practice as well as those who are more experienced and with to deepen their practice. There are no prerequisites and all are welcome.

Caverly Morgan has been devoted Caverly Morganto Zen Awareness Practice for the last fifteen years, eight of which she lived and trained at a silent Zen Monastery. Her unique combination of humor and clarity, along with her unwavering commitment to consciousness, provide the foundation for the work of transformation that she practices and offers to the world.

Consciously Setting Intention for the New Year

The 3rd Annual New Year's Workshop
with Caverly Morgan

One House Vase
at The Yoga Seed Collective 14th and E
January 8th, 10am - 4pm
Sliding Scale Donation: $60 (minimum donation) - $120

Good News! The workshop that has historically been a half-day workshop has expanded! Join us for a full day dedicated to bringing consciousness to your 2011.

Are you hoping to avoid the trap of setting New Year's goals that will end up forgotten by March? Perhaps you've decided to side-step the problem by not setting goals at all? Join us as we reveal how we habitually set goals from a belief that we need to be improved. We don't - if self-improvement as a practice worked, it would have worked by now. Join us as we transcend this assumption and learn to set intention from a place of consciousness, balance, and compassion. In this workshop we will spend time honoring what we've created in the past, letting go and wiping the slate clean. A specific meditation/chant will be offered that balances the chakra system and opens us to a new world full of possibility - a world that is available to you through the practice of consciousness.

This workshop will be open to those new to Awareness Practice, as well as to those who have been practicing with Caverly at One House of Peace and/or at The Yoga Seed Collective. No prior experience required.

How to sign up and and pay:
Because this is an all day event, PRE-REGISTRATION is requested and a minimum donation of $60 is required. E-mail: info@theyogaseed.org to confirm your attendance and/or RSVP via our event page. Advanced payment is appreciated. Donations also accepted at the door. For questions: contact us.

The workshop will include writing exercises so please bring a journal and/or notebook. Also, BYOL&C (Lunch and Cushion - if you don't own a meditation cushion, no worries, we have some extras.)
