May Good News

Greetings,

While the calendar year begins in January, the seasonal
year begins in March. Each seasonal year carries with
it a particular energy that can be worked with to enhance
your spiritual development/life. This year is a fire year.
While that might imply conflict and destruction on one
hand, on another, there are strong implications of creativity
and expansion.

Certainly it has been a time of creativity and expansion
for One House of Peace. Thanks to a committed group of
volunteers (and to Roberta for taking charge) work in
our garden has begun. (For those interested in gardening
and receiving the 'vegetables of our labor,' it's not too
late to join in. Garden times occur before the Thursday
and Sunday group discussions. Contact roberta@onehouseofpeace.org for more info.)

In fact, we've been so busy at the House that I (Caverly)
finally admitted that with all the hats I'm wearing, I
officially can't keep up. We gave in and decided to hire
a cleaning service to assist us for an afternoon. I called
a (seemingly) random cleaning service, so you can
imagine my surprise when a woman who has attended
group discussions at One House of Peace showed up at
the door! What was going to be a 'one time splurge' is
now a bi-weekly trade in which the House gets cleaned
regularly and the house-cleaner attends the discussions
without paying the suggested minimum donation fees.
It's been a win-win for all involved and we are grateful
for her service.

And, as you saw from our last e-mail, we've not only
found our summer retreat center, but dates have been
confirmed and discussion regarding logistics have begun.
Many thanks to those who support One House of Peace for
assisting in making the spiritual practice offered here
available to others. All this expansion is due to teamwork.
